BESM stands from Big Eyes Small Mouth. It's Guardians of Order's anime themed Roleplaying line. Basically, you have the core component manuals that handles all of the significant mechanics of the system, and then you get supplemental books for say Trigun, or whatever, in order to create your own campaign within the world of your favorite anime series. So, had Guardians of Order been able to published these books, you would be able to use them, in conjunction with their core roleplaying materials, to create a complex role playing campaign (like a Dungeons and Dragons campaign) within the world of Eva. While I don't think Evangelion would work well with this sort of system, I also didn't think Evarena would look as nice as it did when finished. So needless to say, I was quite eager to see what Guardians of Order was cooking up, but with ADV having ended the project, we will never know what they had in store for us.

i think this entry needs some more explanation– what kind of books are these? RPGs? What’s the BESM line of books?
