Sicko
Considering his track record as an asshole that manipulates the truth, it's difficult to take Michael Moore's new film Sicko at face value. It's a masterful film that feels like a well crafted essay that uses not only words, but sound and image as well. The challenge of a documentary like Sicko is in finding the truth behind the "truth" you are presented with. Though possibly misrepresented, this "truth" is not without basis, and that basis is something that is deserving of time and investigation. Sicko is a powerful work of filmmaking that will make you laugh, cry, and wish for a world where we as human beings can pursue altruism and humble living, rather than profit and power at the expense of others.
